Thinking of Pumpkins...

Just a few sketches of Halloween Haunts. Ooh Scary!

Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.

  1. Marilyn-
Just wanted to say that I love the story you shared in your newsletter about the burnt pumpkin seeds and the cleaned oven that led to your marrying wonderhub!
That is so dear- thanks for sharing.

  4. Thanks, Auntie Lolo. :-) It was such a tiny house, about a hundred years old and made out of the driest wood. The stove was so tiny, barely fit a cookie sheet and you had to light the oven with a match. It's a wonder the whole place didn't burst into flames. All I could do was flap like a penguin and say, "Oh my house! Oh my house!" The hub was all calm, and hosed off the burnt seeds outside and sponged all the soot off of everything.

The other part of the story was that what we talked about the most was the crappiest dates we had ever been on. It was hysterical.

  5. Wonderful pictures!
I'd love to hear why you didn't like WordPress. I link to you quite a bit at my WP blog, www.myfreshplans.com, and I remember you from your LiveJournal days.
I've been putting clients at WP for their blogs quite a bit lately, so if you don't mind sharing what you disliked about it, I'd appreciate knowing.
    Thanks!

  7. I too, loved your story about the burnt pumpkin seeds and the pilot who cleaned your oven. Brilliant!

Your Halloween drawings are wonderful. I so wish I was back home in the states at this time of year because Halloween is my favourite festival to celebrate.
