Practice, practice, practice....

I need to practice composition more. It's honestly something I struggle with. So I've been folding a piece of paper everyday into four rectangles and doodle something in each one. Here's what I came up with the other day.

What are you working on?

Today is life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto. ~ Dale Carnegie

  1. Your art always makes me wonder...why is the piggy man angry? What's the little man in the bottom pic whittling? Who is the man in the hat waiting for? That's what good art is, right? Something that stimulates the imagination. Thanks M. :)

  2. Ah, thank you! High words of praise!

The test of a good illustration isn't "Wow, this is good" or "I love your line work" but rather, "What is the story behind this?"

If someone wants to know what happens next after looking at an illustration then the artwork has hit the target.
