Haircut....

So school has started and change is in the air. I hadn't had a haircut in forever so I skip over to the new place on the corner and say, "Go to town, whatever you think, you're the boss." So the gal cuts off two thirds of my hair and here I am, slightly panicked and feeling like not entirely like myself.

I'm a big woman. I need big hair.

The difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is about two weeks.

  1. I really like it! It looks like it would be cooler and in the heat long hair just looks hot.
And not in a cool way! :)

  2. Ah, thanks, Heidi Annie! I'm hoping for cool not mommish.

It will be interesting to see what it looks like tomorrow once it's had time to frizz out. :-)

  3. But you look ever so cute! Put on Cyndi Lauper's "Girls just wanna have fun" and dance around a bit until you've worn it in.. :)

  5. Ah thanks! It's still a little iffy today. The gal cut it in frizzy layers and I look like I need Rograin. Oh well, I can always where hats.

And Celia! The Xmas book comes out on October 5th, 2010. At least that's the US release date.

  6. Marilyn, you are such an amazing woman. Bless you for the delightful sense of happiness you exude! Our only child is 22 years old and in grad school, but your beautiful ideas transcend age. As soon as I receive your newsletter, I share your pretty little pictures with her and we admire them together.

I think your haircut is great! I sure don't remember any hair from the 80's looking that good! The 80's were mostly gallons of gel and spikes-- you know: that "Flock of Seagulls" look:

Thanks again for all your kind sharing.
    Best Wishes,

  10. I agree about the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one. But I cut mine very short, and want it to be long again NOW. It's only hair, I tell myself, but mine seems to grow straight out in all directions until it levels out with my shoulders... However, being all grown up and not as vain as I used to be, I do love that it takes so much less shampoo and gives me a rocking muppet shadow.

  11. Marilyn,

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for sharing great paper toys with us.

I print the toys and send them to a girl I sponsor in Haiti. She absolutely loves them.
